Surely they can, but as long as they're not, the winner is the one who wins the elections with the system that is in place. If you can only win the Olympic 400m gold medal by making a backwards somersault over the finish, that sucks, but if that's the rule beforehand, it's clear for everyone and the winner is the one who does that :p

The electors didn’t have to vote for him, their not bound to any form of vote, they could’ve chosen you president if they wanted to.

Be that as it may, my point stands: Trump is, factually speaking, the president of every American citizen. Whether any one random individual likes it or not :p

Obama by a marathon, I would’ve (was too young at the time) voted for Sanders because I’m more of a socialist.

Socialist?, is sad to me read that for an American, your country dont suffer socialism like countrys like mine but in the forum you can find people of countrys with terribles consequences, in your country in the last election i probably voted for Gary Johnson if i was American, i see you are very young for your profile.

Well, I would’ve just be glad if you voted. So many people didn’t vote in our election :(. I’m also not fully socialist, I’m more democratic socialist.

Ok, you cand do that but im talking about facts, not opinions in this case at least.

I’m pretty Obama never declared war on the Middle East, so I’m sure as to how that’s a fact. Also common decency (political correctness) is just being a good human.

You dont need to declare a formal war like in the past to atacck another country, for your age is normal that you dont remember but i give you one example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_military_intervention_in_Libya

The political correctness is just a totalitary cultural form to impose some values like absolutes and unquestionable, if you think at least a little diference, you will be attack by people and lobbys and putting in a place of "inhuman", like the Nazi Germany or the USSR did in the past, i remember a world without this "humanitary" way to think and it was MUCH better, now the free speach is in big danger.

do you want to know why a guy like Trump won the elections in your country?, one of the reasons is the what tired is the common people with the political correctness.

Or because I’m surrounded by people with racial issues, and a false belief in populism. I’m pretty certain almost every sovereign nation is meddling in each other’s affairs. Right rather have a politically correct President than one who: has bragged about assaulting woman, caged children, banned people because of their religion, used business as a way to justify his denial in science, declared victory over our allies, blames everything on people he doesn’t like, talks with the vocabulary of a 5 year old, pulled my country closer to autocratic leaders, invited the Russians to meddle in our elections, went bankrupt multiple times, has denied facts throughout his term, created fake “fake news”, used race baiting as an excuse to bring back derogatory practices.

He doesn’t seem to represent the average person, and he certainly doesn’t represent the America I know. Political correctness saves us from administrations like NAZI Germany, the USSR, military junta’s, and autocratic leaders.

I also don’t think that age determines a person’s knowledge on a subject. I am one of the kids in the state for knowledge in geography, politics, and history. Of course the older “wiser” generations use age as a way to justify a reaction against new ideas.

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
