She was doing what she had already succesfully done before, just in a different place this time. It's not like she was doing something dumb, doing something entirely new or something she had no business doing. So she had to stay and 'support her family' (by doing what, exactly? She had acted as a coach and mentor for many young athletes at Angel City Sports. She died trying to push the boundaries of what it means to be and paraplegic.
