No, a mediocre dive wouldn't have been enough, but they certainly could have won a medal. Not sure why you call it a disappointment though, Italy wasn't a favorite for a medal.

It is also math that when you can get a 10 at best, mediocre would be a 5 and not a 7 or 7.5  ... man. How can you be so determined while being wrong?

I think that you have no idea about how diving works honestly. 5 is a quite bad dive
