Well, gold for Great Britain, now the race for silver is on :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Can someone please explain the sprint progression to me.  We just had 8 heats of the 1/16 round with 8 winners going to the 1/8 round.  But the losing riders go to a repechage to have a chance to compete in the 1/8 round, too?  Doesn't that throw the numbers off?

The naming of the rounds only make sense in the sense that 1/32th final means you still have a 1/16th, 1/8th and so on finals.

1/32th final: 12 heats, winners move on. 4 repechage winners also move on.

1/16th final: 8 heats, winners move on. 4 repechage winners also move on.

1/8th final: 6 heats, winners move on. 2 repechage winners also move on.

1/4th final onward: best of three, no repechage.
