Dongfeng might in fact have chosen the perfect course. They are hugging the coastlines and have been racing towards the finish with 11-13 km/h faster speeds than the rest, having closed the gap from 85km to 50km in a matter of two hours

It's just unbelievable. The single biggest sailing race in the world going to be decided by seconds after 70.000 kilometers of sailing around the world's seas

Dongfeng on their way to make history and take the lead in the last kilometers. This is absolutely incredible, one of the most sensational bits of sports in the last years (as far as sailing can be sensational/spectacular).

And Dongfeng wins the sailing race in the world. What a move in the past 24 hours.

Just walked by a Team NL car with Marit Bouwmeester written on the sides just 1-200m from my front door. I wonder if she has rented an appartenment for the last preperations (as it's a bit away from the harbour).
