I don't know much about ICF, but they must be known as absolutely horrible? I mean, is this event not exciting enough? One of the best finals of the entire Olympics..

It makes you wonder why on Earth they are making all these changes? Unlike skateboarding and break dance there's zero chance Next Gen kids will watch canoeing IMO. Another case when the chase for mythical new fans will be a total failure IMO. We all know the TikTok generation doesn't give a damn about tradition.

ICF believes that people are bored by longer distances. Which is bullshit, this sport should be about endurance, 1000m should be the standard distance like 2000m in rowing.

But those 13 year old kids won't watch this and you know, the Olympic Games will DIE without those kids. That's the chief excuse I hear. Wait until e-sports becomes an Olympic sport - like a tetris online or something.
