No way I would do so for a Tour de France stage or something average like that, but De Ronde is something else.

Clearly I meant the 254 km, but was too lazy to look up the actual distance.

Having the TV on with the commentary as background while doing some simple other stuff, it's not 254km of intense staring at the TV  

 

Meanwhile, listening to the stories, interviews, analyzing and so on as the anticipation towards the climbs is building.

You have to be a big fan of Belgian agricultural methods.  “Oh, look, bumper asparagus crop this year!”

Alpecin guy nearly shouldered an Astana guy onto the asphalt, wouldn't be surprised if Alpecin loses a rider within now and a half hour or so.
