I'm following this live as usual :d Congrats with the NR.

Quite good result for Vadlejch again.

Thanks :)

Yes great competition for Vadlejch, this was the second best ever throw in the meeting, only his coach Ján Železný threw more before, in 1995 (when the meeting was in Bratislava before moving here to Šamorín´s equestrian venue) over 90 metres.

Today was the day of COSMA Cup in Lithuania, Vilnius. Got the chance to travel and see the event live.

I got to witness the men's 1500m. National Record broken for the 3rd time this month by Simas Bertašius in 3:39.01

The first season start of Airinė Palšytė (she jumped 1.93 in training, but in the cup she jumped 1.85, claiming fatigue)

Lastly, the cherry on the cake was the organised women's 4x400m. relay, where three girls flew in (2 from Switzerland, 1 from Spain) just for this event only and a shot at qualifying to the European Championship. There were flight delays and the women from Switzerland arrived 7 hours later than planned, at 1AM. So with little expectations and thoughts about running 3:35-36, they went out and ran 3:33.03 and are nearly guaranteed a place in the European Championships.

Agnė Šerkšnienė broke the Lithuanian National Record with a 50.99 in 400 metres. The record was 34 years old, set by Dalia Matusevičienė (mother of Edis Matusevičius, that holds the men's javelin NR) before Agnė was even born. With this result, Agnė is one of the contenders for a possible medal in the upcoming European Championships.

Well, it's definitely not going to be easy. Šerkšnienė finished third in this race, Lea Sprunger and Lisanne De Witt ran faster, plus there's the strong athlete from Poland, blanked on the surname.

Anyways, 400m. women race is extremely improved comparing it to 2014 Zurich, where this time by Agnė would have been enough for gold and 2016 would have been enough for silver. Now three girls already running under 51s.

Yep, 50.96 seconds, breaking the Dutch record (51.35) that has stood since 1998

And Lea Sprunger destroyed her own Swiss record from 51.09 to 50.52.

The Belgian record survived by mere 0.04s, would've been a damn good race to watch live :d
