The the WEC have put a lot of production value into this race. They seem to have cameras on most of the drivers, and the graphics are really cool. They have also been doing a couple of interviews with LeMans legends.

rFactor2 is such a beautiful game. The camera shots feel much more realistic than the other sims.

In terms of graphics and actual race info and such, this is being done so much better than many of the other races I've seen so far these months, absolutely

It’s very watchable, which means that I’m actually trying to follow along (even though I joined 4 hours in).

Light: real racers

Dark: sim racers

Which taught me apparently Jarno Opmeer isn't a real racer anymore, I missed that :yikes: Too bad, he was promising in F4. I'm sad the #14 with Alonso is already out, we won't get to see Barrichello :(

I know it’s more realistic for teams to be eliminated after incidents in a virtual 24hr, but it would be nice if they’d just let teams restart after a time penalty or something.

I liked what they had in NASCAR, where everyone had one or two full resets during the race. Makes it a good mix of serious racing, because you don't wanna break your car, and fun, because that's what it's all about in the end.

According to the commentators, there’s just no reset to pits in this race. Basically you have to get the car back to pit lane yourself, but that’s possible under all circumstances except connection issues. So if you’re unfamiliar with sim racing, then you might have to retire because you don’t know how to reconnect your internet or reset your sim.

Damn, WEC has a nice studio for this race! Complete with commentary booth, race control, and multi camera broadcast booth! This really is a high value production for a virtual race.

    • I haven't read anything about that   meanwhile many skiers were complaining about the snow and the different consistency of it between the sectors of the track   Odermatt was quite polite but very tough at the same time on that...
    • we already have something like that...it's the regular world championships!   I mean, if we spread the Games all around the Globe, we completely lose the fascination of a single great multi-disciplinary event in a single place (more or less, given that some sports are always held far away from the actual Olympic City)   it's just another thing, it's not the Olympic Games anymore   if that's to be the case, I'd rather prefer the single championships to be well spread through the whole year, so to be able to watch the most of them without losing hours of sleep
    • and  Pietro Zazzi also had a bad crash, ending up with broken tibia and fibula in his right leg    a few more skiers also went down Today, but luckily with no injuries   the different quality and consistence of the snow (and ice) in some points of the track made it very difficult and will be a problem also Tomorrow, when the skiers will have to go full speed
    • Nice! Interesting predictions. Hopefully we'll do even better than 2 bronze medals.
    • Cyprien Sarrazin suffered a major crash training in Bormio. He is conscious, but will need to undergoe surgery to address a brain bleed.
