Since they removed the yuko score those golden score overtimes have become more frequent at the sharp end of the field (and yuko could have been gained through penalties just like koka which is gone for 13 years now).

Yeah, this wasn't really an upset. Though I can imagine silver in judo for Japan will be received as a failure no matter what.
