Given how Australia & USA goals were allowed to stand at this tournament the fact that a :CMR player was actually running away from the goal when she was flagged for half a boot offside. That's really harsh. And it seemed like every VAR decision went against them.

Well, when you have calibrated lines to detect offside by VAR, then half a boot is half a boot offside. And apart from this scene, in my opinion all other VAR checks were right, especially the second goal by ENG. Except the foul by CAM at 90+7', which would have also been a red card.

Meanwhile the most qualified of them all Bibiana Steinhaus has had only one game at this tournament so far. What are they saving her for esp. with Germany about to go deep in the tournament?

Absolutely agree. I have no clue why she doesn't get more matches. For all users who don't follow German Bndesliga (first league): Steinhaus referees in the Men's first league and is one of the best and most respected referees, male or female, in Germany.

The Cameroon offside was okay but what I meant was that the US & AUS goals should have been ruled out. Both Kerr & Lloyd were clearly moving towards the ball while being offside and affected the defenders hence the entire play. Those were two horrible calls IMO which underlines how poor the refereeing is at this tournament IMO. At least they were both consistently horrible.

France will be hard-pressed to topple the Americans tbh, the full-backs look vunerable as heck and of course the keeper is very howler-prone. Nobody has shown me anything so far to stop USA other than park the bus Sweden-Olympics style and hope for a 0-0 penalty kicks miracle.

Although soccer is one of the sports I least enjoy it was very enjoyable to watch these girls, the efforts of each one that even with their limitations achieved a result beyond what was expected. :hatoff::hatoff:

About the awful coach, maybe the worst in history? I do not know much about soccer, but as little as I know it shows me that he is horrible. :coffee:
