Werloc 3,144 Posted January 9, 2018 #422 Share Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Thankfully it's going to be a short episode of "Werloc doing biathlon things". Anyways, for starters, team Austria is with changes as Simon Eder is back in the team, Felix Leitner gets the boot. Smolski comes in instead of Chepelin for Belarus. Anev is back and is switched with Sinapov, even though Sinapov had the best performance in Oberhof. Davies comes in instead of Campbell for Canada. Slesingr and Hosek comes in instead of Soukup and Krupcik. Koiv is in instead of Lessing for Estonia. Simon Fourcade is back in the A Team for France and Beatrix is moved to the IBU cup, which is most likely his worst season performance in many many years. Erik Lesser is back for Germany and now they're starting the full 6 athletes. 1 switch for Kazakhstan and Lapshin tags out for Korea as Heo comes in. Two changes for team Latvia as Rastorgujevs is back and also Ilmars Bricis is in after reaching the qualification standard in the IBU cup. Many surprises in Norway. Tarjei Boe is missing as well as Birkeland. Bjoentegaard and Christiansen coming in in their place (Still, pretty unfair to Gjesbakk if you ask me) 1 switch for Poland and 1 for Romania. Shopin and Garanichev come back for team Russia, Babikov and Tsvetkov not in the team. 1 change for Slovenia and a serious hit to Switzerland as Weger is missing from this one, Dolder is brought in. Otcenas and Kazar back from the IBU cup to the team. And super Sweden, exchanging Peppe Femling with Stenersen. 1 addition for team USA as Bailley is back in the team. Anyways, it ended up not being a short episode, surprisingly a very long list of changes. Edit: Missed to add that Crnkovic is in for Croatia. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Werloc 3,144 Posted January 10, 2018 #428 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Very anxious prior to today's race. Theoretically, it is our best chance to have a decent result, but with numbers 74+77 and somewhere in the nineties, the track might not be in a good condition, I expect some slow ski times. heywoodu 13,663 Posted January 10, 2018 #429 Share Posted January 10, 2018 So far it's a hugely impressive performance from Bjoerndalen, right when his Olympic participation is hanging by a thread If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
