why?

This is what I found few days ago: https://swimswam.com/fina-releases-water-polo-rosters-for-world-championships/

Team USA will be playing without Tony Azevedo, one of the greatest water polo players in history and Team USA’s captain for a generation, as well as without long-time goalkeeper Merrill Moses, who has been a fixture in cage for the Americans.

Stepping into goal for them will be McQuin Baron, who at 6’9″ tall fits the part for Team USA. He wound up playing more than expected in Rio, and out-performed Moses, though it wasn’t quite enough for Team USA.

In Rio, the Americans failed to advance from group play, even with Moses and Azevedo. They’ve had a nearly-complete overhaul of the roster – which includes not returning any of the three players who singularly held a lead in match scoring for the Americans in the Olympic tournament.

Damn, should have known this before the championships started to make some good money :yikes:

    • Fonseca x Rublev =/   It will be very good for him to face a top 10 but probably his first win in a GS will be in Rolland Garros haha   Edit: not winning the championship of course, im talking just about one match haha
    • Aaaand the aforementioned  Gaia Brunello has put down a 36th place in Arber today, 2:35 minutes behind the winner, resulting in 116 IBU points. For World Cup qualification one needs an average of under 150 at the end of a trimester...or one result of under 125 in the current or previous trimester, so if I'm not mistaken, she has immediately qualified for next week's World Cup!   Great start. We are definitely hoping she stays in biathlon only and this start helps
    • This is the most incompatible with my sleeping schedule tennis event ever but I will still watch it.  I've seen a few qualifying games but time to step up my tennis watching with the main draw.
    • Discovery plus is my favourite way to stream sports aside from official streams on YouTube so I'm more than happy with this.
    • Chanatip Sonkham, who won bronze in taekwondo at the 2012 Olympics, will be competing for Thailand in the mixed doubles curling event.
    • Lots of viewing options happily.   Easy option if you have it - everything is on Discovery Plus   Free To Air option - They have lots of their own free streaming on FISU.TV.   Go to FISU.TV on your browser Create a username/password Once that is done, you can stream from your PC Or you can download the app on all services - Ipad, Android, Amazon, Roku Enjoy!
    • Draws are now out: https://ausopen.com/draws   As usual, some intriguing first round matchups.   ‪Osaka/Garcia and Gauff/Kenin are the main ones that stand out on the women’s side, while for the men it’s Hurkacz/Griekspoor, Dimitrov/Fognini and Monfils/Mpetshi Perricard, but there’s so many quality matchups that it’s tough to only pick a couple. I’m interested to see who Fonseca draws as a Q, that’ll be a matchup players want to avoid.
