Took each other out on handover.

Weird how the American turned back for another go. Surely they could have argued that the first exchange was valid given the circumstance.

Circumstances or not, an exchange is no exchange if there's no physical contact.

Meh. Vermeulen stapped on Brugger's ski binding, Brugger lost his ski in the middle of the 3rd leg, leaving them with no chance. Fucked up home WCh for German CC team so far.

Such a bad performance ... it was very easy in this heat to qualify for the final. Ladies are in the final, but I think no real medal chance.

Think this event needs to be rethought.  It’s OK on the circuit where you have Finland II, Russia III etc who defer to their senior team & nobody outside the top 5 much cares, but once every four years when you have huge fields with everyone competing to the max, it’s a disaster like short-track.

Well, when someone pushes you out moments before the actual contact, you can argue the contact happened. :p

The men's team's performance today was okay, without that bad luck of Brugger they would have had a realistic chance of finishing within the TOP 4.

However, is anabody expecting a German medal in the team relays!? I think a TOP 6 result for the Women's team would be very nice.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
