More WTA drama in Ostapenko vs Kasatkina QF. Lineswoman snitched on Ostapenko for telling "bitch" after a bad point.

 

Then chair umpire fluffed the score in the final game in Ostapenko's favor (called 15-15 when it should have been 0-30).

 

Ostapenko won the match in three sets.

Kvitova always struggled in the US summer heat even though it's Montreal. Giorgi keeps the good form from Olympics, it seems like not having her father around really helps her game (like everyone suspected for years).

The question of Sergio Giorgi's psychopath has always caused much discussion even in Italy. I think Camila would have been a different player with a serious coach, and not with her father acting as a deus ex machina.

Don't look now but Camila Giorgi is into the Montreal final! She beats Jessica Pegula in three sets and books the biggest final of her career vs Karolina Pliskova. What a week this has been! :cheer:
