That actually seem like a pretty cool format. Not sure how well it works to have men and women climb the same boulder, but the idea of having the pair collaborate to solve the problem is really neat.

They don’t climb the same Boulder. There are 3 sections of two Boulders each. Each time around a team nominates one man to climb a Boulder and one women to climb the other Boulder. I do believe their allowed to give each other beta and other support though. The other major difference is that they only see the Boulder when they go to climb it, not during the observation period before. They also have 5 minutes, instead of 4 minutes, to top the Boulder.

The climbing press I follow seemed to like the idea. It was getting good reviews from the climbing journalists there. I haven’t seen much about the athletes opinion though.

From the video description: “20-year-old first-time World Cup participant Kiromal Katibin pulverised the men's Speed world Record at the IFSC Boulder and Speed World Cup in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The young Speed specialist, clocked in the unbelievable time of 5.258 seconds – 0.222 seconds better than the previous mark.”

  • Latest Posts around Totallympics

    • They do have the by far best current Dutch NHL player though
    • Took a couple of videos, but completely forgot to take even a single picture and the file size of the videos are too big for Totallympics so I had to find a site to upload it to   https://streamable.com/ga23lv   Vibes at the game were good, place was loud, and I downed a $6 poutine from Costco before the game. Unfortunately, the game didn’t go so well, it took us a solid 45 minutes to actually start playing hockey besides some bursts here and there, and after coming back from down 1-3 we gave up the OT goal less than a minute in (Typical Canucks fashion), but  Lankinen stole us a point, they had so many solid opportunities on him and we had no business staying close.    Really mediocre start to the season for the Canucks so far, even with 11 points in 8 games, a lot of players not showing up (Petey, Soucy, Myers, Hög, Miller, DeBrusk, although for DeBrusk he’s been known to have a streaky game) and our power play and overtime have been fucking dogshit (power play has been like this for years). Shoutout to Garland, Hughes, Sherwood and Lankinen though they’ve been incredible so far
    • Hi I see this now. When is the draw? What do you need me to do?
    • North Korea and the US played the first semifinal at the U17 World Cup last night:
    • Happy New York Yankees elimination day to those who celebrate!
    • Sorry, I was at work. Starting tomorrow thru Sunday is busy busy days here with Halloween, All Saints Day, Día de Muertos, so I might no be around the whole weekend. Good thing the final got postponed.
    • Announcement   It is with regret that I have to postpone the final till at least 10th November. This is not a fixed date and is likely to be moved to the following week. The delay is due to jurors not having voted yet and preparations on the final weekend still not having been completed. The draw is still set to take place tomorrow but there is chance this could be moved day by day until preparations are complete.    With this latest announcement @Gianlu33 and @LDOG if you would like to rejoin the contest with this recent change then you are more than welcome to do so.
    • While we're waiting, let me casually drop the music from the two countries I mentioned earlier. I wasn't sure if Mongolia has ever been featured in a festival of music segment, but East Timor / Timor Leste never has, plus I've been watching their English-language TV stations lately, hence the choice for both countries   Anyway, here's       And     I haven't decided on two other countries, but I'll get back to you on that
    • Haven't done this in a while.   Count me in, I'm game.
    • I just need you to pick 2 teams from each of my tables once I've set them up, should be ready to go in 15 minutes (taking longer than I thought) and hopefully by then more people will volunteer so that we can get things moving quickly.
