Does anyone know who has qualified for the World Series Final in Budapest?  I think Britain might have actually been half decent and made the finals, which would be a miracle, but cannot find anywhere which countries have made it through.

Can't help but think this news benefits Greece once again. Our women's team is so young and fighting for that last spot (duet will for sure qualify as always). The extra year + now an extra few months should really boost their chances considering a lot of our girls are 16/17 years old.

Only 3 pair in the mixed duo and 3 athletes in the solo. It was a bit sad, the entry fee wasn't so expensive (50 in the solo, 100 in the duet). The South Korean pair back in an official race after the 2018 Canadian sage victory, and they improve a lot.

Mixed Duo Technical

  1. :ESP Spain
  2. :ESP Spain
  3. :KOR South Korea

Women's Solo Technical

  1. :USA Dzurko 79.6044
  2. :ARU Hoevertsz 73.9357
  3. :SWE Ternstrom 69.6834

Another day of action of synchronized swimming is coming :cheer:

Live streaming is available on FINA TV and on Team USA.

7 events, in the following order, I think:

  1. Women's Duet
  2. Mixed Duet
  3. Women's solo
  4. Men's solo
  5. Team
  6. Combined
  7. Highlights

12 country will battle for the gold. This will be the last event before a 2-months break.

Very good routine for Belarus and US, they was really good. I liked San Marino free routine too but, honestly, they should improve a bit, they can do more than a 77.something

  1. :USA United States 84.9333
  2. :BLR Belarus 81.700
  3. :COL Colombia 79.2667

    • need to work on the celebrations... or just drop them?   Btw, these jerseys suck and I remember Zambia playing in all white with red numbers. At least they have orange on national flag but still...
    • British Columbia in general and Vancouver in particular are awesome and it’s great more people got to discover it thanks to Vancouver 2010.
    • And of course the British being famous for curmudgeons, there were always plenty of curmudgeons to quote.  Then of course from the opening ceremony and the cycle race on the very first morning it was obviously going to be triumph, so everyone just shut up for a while.
    • Yep, the amount of emergency services I heard at some point was a little extreme (for our little town), so I checked what was going on and saw they were all being called to a specific location. Until then I thought maybe it was part of a parade of trucks and agricultural vehicles that was on it's way from the next town over, decorated with lights and stuff.   Since I knew it was on the parade route, I was sure one of those big vehicles had hit people somehow (there were, besides the many vehicles, also two helicopters on the way, meaning it certainly wasn't about a single victim).   We picked our bikes and went to take a look, absolutely chaos in the area. Never saw so many services combined together, fire trucks from 20km away, ambulance after ambulance came racing by, people frantically trying to make way for them (the roads weren't really closed yet).   While there we heard someone who had been close say that the parade hadn't arrived yet and what seemed to have happened was that a car from the other side came onto the roundabout and simply never turned. "It's a massive drama over there, unbelievable", he said.   Quite quickly rumours started spreading of course, the first one turned out to be true: a middle aged (local) woman was behind the wheel and seems to have become unwell. Local security camera showed the car going at high speed right before the roundabout.   Plenty of rumours going around in terms of who were involved of course, and people keeping each other up to date to see if they know this or that family and such...   Never expected my little town to be big news in the Netherlands, even including some breaking broadcasts, live reporters and everything, damn. By far the biggest thing to happen here in my memory

    • For me, these were very good Olympics, and British sport benefited greatly from them, and is still benefiting. I fear it will be much worse here. Canada also benefited very good on Vancouver 2010 – this is very good see in the medal standings of subsequent Winter Games after 2010 and earlier.
    • Nobody hates Britain more than the British media so… I recall it being quite a pessimistic tone before the London games started.
    • I'm curious what was written before London 2012? Did they attack their own country, or did they just keep quiet?

    • Very true point.  Although I think at this point everyone is just holding their collective breath until the test event.  The NHL isn't going to rage anymore until then because it's not like that would make the arena progress go any quicker
