it's already a good thing if you get the final results before the end of the week on that website (which is the official taekwondo-Europe wbsite, however)...

who knows? most depends on which categories they will enter their players...

however, I think there are quite good chances for France to fill all the available spots...

considered the fact that the best European athletes are already qualified through the world olympic ranking, the rest of the field is not so strong...

    • North Korea is back to participating. I thought they may have withdrawn as they withdrew their women's hockey team
    • The Games are in China so I think the North Koreans will be taking part.
    • Speaking for myself, it is a bit daunting to think of nominations from nothing. Some kind of "long list" suggestion would be nice, but the work to come up with something like 30-50 options for each category would be quite onerous on the host/committee.
    • Before the last round only two teams are secured to play in round of 16: Liverpool and Barcelona   Already qualified at least at second round (playoff or R16): Arsenal, Aston Villa, Atalanta, Atleti, Bayern, Brest, Celtic, Dortmund, Feyenoord, Inter, Juventus, Leverkusen, Lille, Milan, Monaco, Real Madrid     There are nine teams with an elimination confirmed: Bologna, Crvena Zvezda, Girona, Leipzig, Salzburg, Slovan Bratislava, Sparta Praha, Sturm Graz, Young Boys   Last round next week
    • finishes their surprising bracket run with a bronze medal in men's ice hockey, despite only winning 1/4 group stage matches
    • There were also a few other medal opportunities that ultimately didn't pan out for Bulgaria, but it was fun to see their athletes mixing it up for the medals
    • Recently, the Winter FISU Games seem to attract a mix of world cup athletes, top level junior athletes, athletes from nations without much winter sports tradition and a handful of olympians. It's an interesting mix.
    • Maybe...but it's only taken Vonn about three weeks to get back so....
