Races moved to Kitzbuehel. It will be a double header!

Two slaloms this week. No downhill.

Two downhills next week. No slalom.

Still a net loss for speed skiers.

There is also a Super G next week. The only Chance to reschedule the second downhill is in Kvitfjell.

Garmish doesn't want another DH?

The only opportunity would be on Thursday, and I‘m not sure if the host broadcast (ZDF) would deal with this. We have the same thing some years ago, and they also could not reschedule a downhill there, because the Host Broacast not want to transfer the Event, because of to less audience numbers during the week.

They make many different changes, but the one that actually works - the night races, are still not fully developed. Everyone loves them, i don't know why they haven't made a staple out of them, throughout the season. Like have regular Tuesdays be night races, one week men, one week women. There is something special watching skiing at 9-10 o'clock in the night.

Tourists ski at day and drink at night. No need to install lights for a single World Cup night event :coffee:

There are many resorts that have lights on pistes for evening skiing, after all it gets dark around 5 pm in Europe in the winter. If there is a will, there is a way. Just like there are lights on almost every tennis tournament now, which 15 years ago was unheard of.

Yeah, but do we want a weekly parallel slalom event?

I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
