European Winter Youth Olympic Festival 2017

Recommended Posts

The main site stole the ice hockey schedule from the Winter Universiade so it looks like Canada, China, Kazakhstan and the United States are competing. Still waiting for a participating nations list on the main site.

lol

I don´t know who are the all 6 participants, I just know according to our athletes program (hockey is the last line) that our team will play with Belarus and Turkey. The group winners will play the final, the second teams the bronze medal match and 3rd ranked teams the 5th place match.

At least the good news is they are using the same kind of results system :hearts:

Every major multi-event should just use that instead of their own fancy stuff where finding things is impossible. Good thing about this system is you just go to blabla.sportresult.com and you never have to set foot on the usually awful event sites anymore :d

They're showing live sports every day? I love the Olympic Channel! I remember the last EYOF (summer I think) where we were F5'ing some very vague site to see if they had added results with all sports and heats and finals thrown together in one big pile....now we'll have a good results system + coverage :)

    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
    • Learned that Tigst Assefa  in London also lowered the women-only Women's Marathon time.  (I learned they have a women-only record, and a mixed record, to avoid pacemakers...also nevermind that she was running along with other men in the men's marathon, which had started first.)
    • Anyway, a piece of history has been written today as  for the first time ever topped a preliminary round group at the U18s.  Was about time as well though      Quarterfinals schedule is also on - The Relegation direct match GER vs NOR is schedulled also on Thursday morning at 10 AM in Trenčín
