All of a sudden they're including the 5k classic in the FIS points calculation?! That can't be right (or even remotely fair), they should look only at today's 5k time like they normally do..

Snow at the speed skating at the legendary Medeo track

I wish they'd have a major international competition in these kind of conditions ever again..

Ah that was just a mistake, on FIS' website they've done it right and there I also see that out of 62 athletes, Bruna had the 45th time, just...wow :bowdown:

The 1500m women's track record is still held by Karin Kania, I didn't think I'd ever again see speed skating on a track where the current records were set by athletes I only know of the stories from long ago before I was born :d

Are you sure it's Karin Kania? It could be Karin Enke, Karin Busch or Karin Richter too? :p

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
