Guillermo Molina and Gonzalo Echenique are now officially Italian citizens...

it took quite a few years for them to get there, but now they got it...

and of course now they could well be named for our National Team (and it would be a great acquisition if they opt to play for us, especially Echenique is the kind of player we miss so much at the top level of play)...

p.s. it's not sure that they will play for Italy...I'm pretty sure they've been asked to, but they haven't said anything about it yet...

Italian coach Mauro Maugeri has died, aged 58. He took over as coach of the Dutch women's team after they won Olympic gold in 2008 and well, that didn't exactly work out very good.

Where I can find results of Women's European Champions League 2017/2018?

There is not a Champions League in women's water  polo ;) The 1st tier competition for Women is LEN Euroleague, you can follow the results here http://www.microplustiming.com/leneuroleaguewomen/indexCL_web.php?cal=1

Why do only 4 Teams play in World League Euro Qualification?

Probably only 4 teams wanted to participate :( The World league is open to all teams, and there participated more teams in previous World League editions, so it is the only explanation I think

My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO. You ask why? Look here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyIOarNAONk

I think this is also due to the fact that LEN created another similar tournament (Europa Cup http://www2.len.eu/?p=10647), so other teams decided to focus on this Europa Cup.

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
