Obviously at the world championships it's always possible a non-German wins, but man, if they have one big chance for a gold medal...it's definitely right there :d (stating the obvious, I know :p )

What about Klosterhalfen in womens 1500 m? Not a favorite for gold? :p

And every time the attempt is further than the next one, keep going like this and Zelezny's world record is toast after his 6th attempt :d

Tortu on the entry list in mens 100/200 m?

Ingebrigtsen on the entry list in mens 1500 m and mens 3000 m SC!

Expand

Tortu is on the entry list for both, but his father/coach already said that he will do only one for now (probably 100m).

    • We´ll see. anyway, I hope hope so.   It was her first career senior bout, maybe a bit too early, to be thrown in the lion´s den, but if all this will result in a medal in LA 28 I am all in

    • @hckošice, even though Tomankova lost, she had a good fight against Costa, I think soon she and Babulfath will be the stars of -48kg.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
