As you already know 150 biathletes signed the petition for the IBU Execs.

The petition leaked and here are the main suggestions (to change IBU rules):

  • up to 8 years DQ for biathletes
  • more serious fines (up to €1 000 000) of the federations
  • Reducing season quotas of the federations with 1 or more doping offenders

Biathletes from such countries signed the petition:

:AUT Austria

:BEL Belgium

:BLR Belarus

:CAN Canada

:CHN China

:CZE Czech Republic

:EST Estonia

:FIN Finland

:FRA France

:GBR Great Britain

:GER Germany

:ITA Italy

:JPN Japan

:LAT Latvia

:LTU Lithuania

:NOR Norway

:POL Poland

:ROU Romania

:SRB Serbia

:SVK Slovakia

:SLO Slovenia

:SWE Sweden

:SUI Switzerland

:UKR Ukraine - 11 Ukrainian biathletes (everyone who were present) & 1 trainer

:USA USA

Ukrainian federation received a letter from the IBU that they doubt that their own decision for Abramova was right. She was allowed to train with the team. There's a hope that she will be justified.

The federation president said that he will rise few questions at the Congress about fair punishment. We want the IBU Medical Commission to move their butts and do their job faster, within 2 months. We agree with tough punishment but it should be equal for everyone. Abramova was DQ-ed for nothing when they had to cancel her results only. Meanwhile certain someone's ban was reduced in half and he wins European Championship (he could win the World Cup with such result, wtf) like nothing happened.

ps. Ukraine is the 1st country that bans their biathletes forever in case of a doping abuse. Officially. We've already done that to 1 biathlete. However we don't think that Abramova's case is fair.

Tomorrow in the Junior Cup in Pokljuka we'll have the first ever single mixed and mixed relays of the series :cheer:

Start list for the single mixed:

And the mixed:

Obviously Brazil is going to shine in the single mixed :BRA

They should definitely be able to keep Macedonia behind (especially Gabi is way faster than Jovanovska) and it could actually be a very nice fight with the Netherlands, meaning it's gonna be a very rare occassion where I will be cheering for Brazil in a fight against the Dutch in any sport :p

I'm expecting Ukraine, Austria and France in the single mixed podium, and France seems to have a very strong team in the mixed, together with Ukraine.
