where I can find the Olympic channel schedule ? I want to know if there is TV coverage for wrestling or not .I was counting on UWW but it seems unlike all other tournaments UWW won't have a live feed. probably because here the organizer is the IOC.

No medals today for Mexico, but some good results.

In swimming, we have another finalist (CAC Games Champion in women's 100m butterfly) and two other semifinalists. Plus our competitor in men's 400m finished in provisional 1st place :d

Let's hope tomorrow will see more encouraging results.

Wrestling draws are out. like previous YOG, they use a unique format here. 2 groups of 3 wrestlers and the group winner advances to the final (Runner up for the bronze medal match)

Greco 45kg draw is funny. there are 3 better wrestlers and all of them in the same group (Iran, Bulgaria and Egypt) while we have Turkmenistan, Honduras and Ecuador in other group ! :facepalm:our other Greco wrestler (flagbearer Nosrati) got Russia in first round . but draw looks better in freestyle. both of them are supposed to go to the final. Zare will  be huge favorite for the gold even against Russia. but Karimi will be underdog against Azerbaijan.

Yea I was surprised at some of the groups. Our only male athlete got Micronesia and Algeria, while the other group has Uzbekistan and Russia!

that happens with blind draw without seeding. but at least they are trying to have some kind of seeding for major tournaments (Olympics and World Champs)

according to current UWW rules since 2017 in case of 6 or 7 wrestlers , we will have 2 groups and top 2 advance to the semifinal. but since YOG is a unique competition they just removed that semifinal part.

It seems like every sport at the Youth Olympics has some sort of dumb rule(s).

Btw, do you think our male athlete in 80 kg can top his group?

I’m sorry but there will be no wrestling broadcasted :(

So far I’ve managed to locate the following coverage from unbroadcasted events:

BMX Racing - All Heats (Amateur Video)

Rowing - Women’s Single Scull Final, Men’s Pair Final (Host TV providers)

Shooting - Mixed Team Air Rifle Bronze Medal Match (Host Tv Providers)

Well, I mean in a technical sense there will be a live feed (like every event) the Olympic Channel has just chosen not to broadcast wrestling. Your sport is just not urban enough :(

    • So, the gap between Shiffrin and Aicher in the overall WC standings is now 219 points.   The races left are: - DH x 3 - SG x 2 - GS x 2 - SL x 2   Could Aicher have a glimmer of a chance?    She'd obviously need to avoid DNFs, which have been an issue this year, but she could potentially lead the table after next week's races in Val di Fassa, provided there are no cancellations (the weather forecast is very good at the moment).

    • Last night, I had the privilege to see my first live curling matches.  The USA National Championships were just 1.5 hours away from where I live (not bad in a country the size of ours, and even more surprising since I live in an area where it rarely snows).  I got to visit the 'page final' (i.e. first playoff round), the highlight of which for me was Team Shuster vs. Team Stopera.  Team Stopera ended up winning by 1 point, but Shuster will be able to play one final match this morning to see if they can make it to the finals this afternoon (the winner of which will qualify to Worlds).  None of the current Olympians were there, having declined their spot in the tournament.   Got some free swag     These people would yell 'Peel! Peel! Peel' whever someone would peel a stone.   Got to see the measuring instrument in action.   And yes, Matt Hamilton and Colin Hufman had sleeveless jerseys on.
