Big group attacked, Contador attacked and is now in a time trial together with Valverde to close the gap to the lead group :p

Who else is in the lead group in terms of GC?

Not entirely sure what the exact list of riders is, but I'm fairly sure Pinot is there as well. Valverde and Contador seem to have trouble to close the gap though.

Thanks, I'm relying on you to keep me updated today ;)

How is Dan Martin doing? I am hoping for a good performance by him today.

Alright people, you gotta read this :d

https://www.reddit.com/r/peloton/comments/4rk5y7/the_eqslidl_podium_conspiracy_theory/

The EQS-Lidl conspiracy: when there is a Lidl (German/European supermarket) within 10km of the centre of the finishing town, the chance of an EQS-rider taking a podium in that stage goes up with around 50% for every added Lidl :d (for races in Italy and France)

Today there are no Lidl's near the finish, so no stage for EQS :p

I didn't see him today :p

De Gendt is definitely going for the polka dots.

Most likely Contador will not finish this stage..it seems he has huge troubles, fever and he doesn´t feel good at all...it´s around 30 minutes that he is still behind the peloton and non stop walking with his sport director

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
