That would be so sad. Perhaps Escobar was too tired in this race after competing in single sculls too. What a stupid decision to compete in both events.

it's already been explained...it's 1 per gender in the Continental qualifications (singles and lightweight double sculls only) and "free for all" (cit. ) for the other boats... so, technically it'

Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay qualify in men's single sculls. Brazil qualifies so the host nation quota in men's single sculls will be reallocated to the European regatta.

 

1st and 2nd nations from B final might have a chance to qualify on reallocation. Ecuador and Paraguay should be the best in B final.

Bermuda, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago qualify in women's single sculls. This means that Brazil's host quota will also be reallocated to European qualifiers. Well done :BER and :TTO

 

Looking at the provisional qualifiers in single sculls and final starts lists for double sculls, we are guaranteed to have at least 2 reallocations in men's events and at least 1 in women's events.

If qualified tomorrow in men's Lightweight double sculls, Mexico probably will reject the single sculls quota. 

 

It's so unfair that only one boat can qualify through continental regatta.

The federation wants to qualify as many nations to the Olympics. It's also unfair that Canada and US can't compete here (or Australia and New Zealand in Asia/Oceania).

I understand that, but just think of the athletes who actually gave their best and earned that ticket being not selected by their NOC's because of this rule. It's not fair for them as rowers. On the other hand I agree, those countries should be allowed to compete in their continental regattas

Okay, this must be the worst live stream I have ever watched.

 

Seems like they have one or two cameras for a rowing competition and the announcer is screaming like a crazy person. :lol:

      I can't watch live, I need a true tv broadcast (or ondemand streaming) to watch late in the evening   and since I'm also lazy, I want them on my TV screen lying on the couch, not having to use my pc or mobile phone 😉   however, thanks a lot for the advice 👍

      Pretty bad there's no beach woodball, that would have been the only chance to watch the sport live in over a decade with full graphics and all.   Also Beach Sepaktakraw missing is surprising.   Would have been good to have surfing, beach rugby, beach tennis, one more beach martial art and at least one of jet ski/ water skiing/wakeboard /wakesurf.

      The young Finnish woman showed today that it's possible to beat the former USSR and Turkey in this sport, so why can't we train someone like her? Our all squad isn't making any progress for a lot od time, so how do they train? Massidda is getting weaker ane weaker and Pizzolato won't be back- he faces 10 years for rape. It's a disgrace.

      If you have a VPN, theTRT broadcasts it, but Italy is so weak in this sport that there's no point in even watching it. Ukraine, Poland and Turkey are light years ahead of us and the best Russians aren't here  Without mass naturalization we can give up for this sport.
