In this case B standards are useful with double starters. If a swimmer qualifies with A standard in one event, he/she can also compete in events where he/she has B standard.

Croatian swimmer for example used that rule and she will compete in 3 events (even though she has A standard in only 1). Bunch of other nations have also used that option.

How about the freestyle and medley relay swimmers? Can they still compete in individual events with a B standard? It happened on the French swimmers at the previous Games.

Kenya's best swimmer was not allowed to compete because she didn't compete in Kazan, while two wild cards are allowed (from Myanmar and Haiti) even though they didn't compete in Kazan. Double standards

Corrections are just coming. And I was naive enough to think that all entries will be known by July 18th and that we will have a quiet two weeks before Rio. :d
