So Puerto Rico join Sri Lanka in securing at the very least a repechage spot. Somalia are also on the verge of a repechage spot at least, providing they do not lose 8-0 against Kosovo AND providing Kiribati don't win 8-0 against Puerto Rico on top of that.

 

To put it another way....Kiribati must beat Puerto Rico 8-0 AND hope Somalia loses 8-0 in order to qualify for the repechages

Also, if Puerto Rico loses 5-3, then they beat Sri Lanka on the tie-break criteria. If Puerto Rico lose 6-2, 7-1 or 8-0 against Kiribati, then Sri Lanka leapfrogs Puerto Rico on vote difference.

In Group C this evening we have the fixture of Albania v Zambia. The Africans are already out of the competition but they can still inflict a blow on Albania's chances of qualification with a victory tonight.

Albania have a 100% record so far but a win is still important tonight to ensure they stay on track for qualification. And in this tight group, vote difference could prove to be an important factor, so winning over as many judges as possible is crucial.

Burundi have booked their place as automatic qualifiers for the Round of 16 and in doing so, Albania now join them in the Round of 16 as these 2 cannot be caught at the head of Group C.

South Korea v Guatemala on Thursday is going to be a showdown to see who gets 3rd place in the group. South Korea need to win as a draw is enough for Guatemala to progress on vote difference.
