Group F

Monday, July 27th 2020, 20:30 (GMT +1)

:HKG Hong Kong 0 vs 0  :MKD North Macedonia

The final match of the day features another 2 nations who have an unbeaten record in Group F. Hong Kong won their only match to date, beating Belize 6-2. And another victory today would guarantee a top 3 finish and qualification from the group.

North Macedonia have drawn both of their games so far, drawing 4-4 with Angola and Barbados. One win in either of their final 2 matches may be enough to see them through the group.

A total of 8 match judges have been assigned the task of adjudicating this match.

The judges are each allocated a specialised hut which are located at various vantage points surrounding the arena where the artists will perform.

These judging huts can be seen in the diagram below with their locations denoted by letters (K, E, H, C, M, B, F and A).

It sounds like nostalgia is the word it is most closely related to... it is a happy and sad feeling about the past or something missing.

I think the phrase “nostalgic longing” would appear to be the closest definition of what @kungshamra71 is trying to describe.

While we’re on the topic of ties, what are you going to do about the elimination phase @OlympicIRL? 7 judges per match?

It will be increased from 8 judges, maybe initially to 9 for Round of 16.

Then to 11 judges for quarter-finals. And then 14/15 judges for semi-finals and finally all judges in play for the final (except those involved in the match).

Not completely decided yet, but along those lines. For repechages I'm not sure yet either... might have more involved in those matches since there are only 2 repechage matches to decide.

Probably somthing like 15.

With 7 some jurors would only be drawn for one R16 bout.

That seems like overkill. Maybe 9 or something? It’s important to remember that people will have very little time to adjudicate these matches.
