Beside the usual suspects, i am always heavily looking forward to curling. And then it always get overshadowed, because the matches are too long and are opposite medal events almost every single session. 3 hour matches and 9 hours a day is fantastic, for people who only want to watch curling and nothing else. But for people like me, who want to watch as much as possible, it's always a problem to get some curling in my schedule. Shortening the matches to only 8 ends and around 2 hours should be goal for me. -
This will be a long night of anxiously refreshing every single piece of media. Don't tell me we'll get the earliest updates no later than tomorrow. -
All of them, obviously Besides nordic combined, won’t be watching any of that. Potentially figure skating, but depends on if Canadians are in medal contention after the first half -

Pretty much. If this was the difference between gaining a third sled, they may have an argument; not a good one, but at least an argument. This is an internal manner and should be handled accordingly. -

It's all just been a big PR stunt. It's ultimately a national selection issues, and even if you accept her version of events, the USABS is completely in control of the selection, process and criteria. If she wants to complain, appeal and sue, it should be to them, and it should be over who gets that second spot. But, I guess they figure they can lean on the IOC and get an extra spot invented out to this air instead. I also notice this latest drive seems to be spearheaded by the USOPC, and doesn't mention the USABS at all... -

That appeal was actually completely founded in the qualification document both based on the text and based on the spirit of the document (and I’m really shocked the IBSF got it wrong in the first place) The US appeal doesn’t even make any sense. The US was not anywhere near getting a third sled, if they are unhappy with how American athletes are ranked relative to each other they can send Uhlander to the games ahead of Ro. -

the last time I remember a late appeal being successful was women's bob in 2010. And that was pretty straightforward continental representation that was missed so they got to go as an extra quota. It is hard to imagine any appeal that does not end with the american team required to fix it themselves.
