And a great September for :NZL continues with silver.  Oud Zeeland, not so much.

Gold in junior with Paula Ostiz, bronze in U23 with Paula Blasi and bronze in senior with Mavi García. It seems that :ESP women cycling is back after a very long time.

Canada is probably having a year of century in summer sports – everything works good for them. The Italian team, without fire – Longo Borghini – will probably never win World Championship gold, but it must also be write that he's not Pogacar or someone like that, who would attack alone and finish solo. These tactical races are strange for women, but last year in the World Championships Longo was going for gold, but Vollering chasing her and finally Kopecky took the gold. Pagacar, when he attacks, is unstoppable and that's the difference between a great champion and a solid cyclist, like Longo, Niewiadoma, etc.

Sorry? But the Canadian rowing team just had the worst performance in its history, track and field there was overall regression from 2023 etc. Not everything is bright

Italy responded to everything the Dutch riders did today, which was kind of hilarious, considering the Dutch all seemed to not have the legs today. They rode like hyenas, but with the wrong pray in mind :d

The Italians missing a strong vice leader to escape (Malcotti was too weak) and Longo attacked several times, but she was under scrutiny and she's too weak to break away from her opponents and go solo. This has been a major problem since the beginning of her career. We have lost too many great talents who could have been important today: Cavalli (probably forever), Persico (she was going here, but she's been out of form all season and only helps Longo Borghini) etc.

That's why she has only won the Strade Bianche, Emakumeen Bira, Trofeo Alfredo Binda, GP de Plouay, Paris-Roubaix, Women's Tour, UAE Tour, Ronde van Vlaanderen, two Giro d'Italia's and several stages (that is counting World Tour only, besides the many, many victories on .Pro and .1 level).

She's a great cyclist, but not a grand champion. It's not comparable to van Vleuten or van der Breggen in their prime, would you agree?

Impossible to say with Women's  cycling which is still developing as a pro sport.
