Because it's a completely different type of beauty, and if someone really likes Constantini, for example, they might dosn`t like type of Leerdamm etc. I happen to belong to the group of people who definitely prefer the first type :)

Constantini broke up with Mosaner after winning gold at the 2022 Olympics. She played with another partner(s) in mixed doubles World Champ., and the results were poor. They got back together in 2025 at the World Championships and immediately won gold, so there was no indication that anything was wrong. Otherwise, they wouldn't have won anything there. But overall, I think a super duo could have tried: Constantini and Retornaz, with the goal of gold at the 2026 Olympics. I just don't know if there was any hope on either side for such an experiment? If they were unbeaten with Amos for so long time, why would they change that? These are adults people – professionals, I think. They don't have to love each other off the ice. Btw, no one forced them to get married or sent them to bed together, came on:lol:

Retornaz is much older and a more experienced athlete than Constantini, so would it work? Or maybe she actually prefers someone like him, since Mosaner isn't a good fit for her at around his age? We'll never know. I only know that Italian curling is a full of scandals, dramas etc., and even the home Olympics haven't forced these people to temporarily suspend their fire. Two years ago, we were making progress with both the women's and men's teams, but then the previous coach was fired- for no reason at all, and the current results are much worse than they were then. Personally, I find this community for strange.

I get that, to me they are both very beautiful women

Remember the first time I met Isabella and she stole an 8-ender:d at least I failed against a future olympic Champ.

and I won our most recent singles competition😅

Very nice tournament. And we saw another great family affair, as with our Nika and Domen Prevc. Very nice. I hope maybe in future :SLO could come close to compete in Mixed Doubles, here we have most Olympic chances in curling.

    • Where did you get that?   I'm not sure I would have considered her to have dissapeared from out of nowhere, at least since after Tokyo... she did win medals at the next two World Championships. I think it's just recently, she's been struggling with injury which is why she's completely out of form...
    • Even though I'm not the biggest fan of her, always sucks to see a career ending through injury and not on your own terms
    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
    • badminton queen Carolina Marin announced that she can't take part into the home Europeans in the upcoming weeks because of her injured knee and calls it a career 😭
    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
    • First big meet ofthe Outdoor Tour is the Maury Plant from Melbourne tomorrow morning.  Good few people from Poland last weekend have made the long plane trip to Oz.   https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-continental-tour/news/world-olympic-stars-maurie-plant-melbourne
