I mean he’s a bonafide medal contender in the 50 free, don’t think he would take it conservatively. And even if he was, why not scratch the event instead of racing?

Taylor Ruck breaks 26 seconds for the first time in her career to make the 50 fly semis.

 

Ethan Ekk lead off the 4x200 relay in 1:46.71 which is a new PB. Sauve not quite able to match his trials form splitting 1:48.16. Other two guys split 1:48 high.

 

Wilm went a new 2:10.11 PB to advance to the 200 back semis.

 

McIntosh very clearly in cruise control in her heat. Finishes 3rd overall and will be in a lane next to Ledecky in the final.
