The question is how many matches in USA are stopped due to the stupid "inclement weather" federal rule. Would be a disaster especially in the last round of matches. I hope Canada and Mexico are free of this nonsense. -

RTBF (The Walloon public broadcaster) are up this year, and they have decided to participate. VRT (their Flemish counterpart) seem to take the opposite position, but have no say. A Dutch poll apparently shows that 61% support the decision to boycot. Our Media minister said yesterday that he had tried for some time to get another Dutch broadcaster to deliver a Dutch entrance, but this was not taken up. -

Venues have been assigned to groups, but not specific matches yes. That's why most matches, pretty much everything other than the groups with the host countries, is listed as an either/or. But FIFA will release the full schedule on Saturday at 1200 Eastern Time / 1800 CET. So we'll know the answer to all of those questions in just a few hours! -

Perfect start to the WC for Malena Will have to watch her 1/2 to see if she was close to making the final. If people are remembering, she was probably the toughest opponent for Ledecka at the WCH in March. Even though she DNF'ed because if the aggression, she pushed Ledecka hard and I believe she would have medaled if some one else was in her bracket. She is a very big talent for the future. -

Wikipedia qualification page updated after day 1. The women's 5000m time ranking is very funny, the first two Dutch women on the list do not earn a quota for their country (because slower Dutch athletes are already qualified by points).
