I have a strange enthusiasm to propose some light prediction contest at TDF 2025.

Sure!

 

Tour de France without a wide selection of prediction contests and pools and stuff is no Tour de France

Let me propose some scoring system and the rules:

1. Prediction of the stage results must be posted at the forum (i suppose, at the prediction contests thread)
not later than at the 13:00  (at the day of the respetive stage).

2. You have to pick 8 cyclists and rank them from 1 to 8.
These riders may bring you points at this the stage.

 

.....

3. The winners of the contest are to be defined by the total number of stages.
No tie-breaks.


P.S. I expect to get some helper for picking riders - so we will avoid of the problem of misspelling.

I'd say the start time of a stage makes more sense as deadline?  

 

Anyway, a bit late indeed I think...

 

If anyone still is interested in joining (45 minutes or so left), there's also the simple pick'em format we played some years ago. Simply pick a rider, and their position in the stage is your points, fewer points = better (and you can only pick each rider once). Nobody needs to organize anything, everyone just keeps track of their own points
