Don't want to be negative, but i slightly hope Johaug doesn't win a gold here, just for dissing the World Cup after Tour de Ski.. :coffee:  And she is one of my favourite skiers..

Always like, when my predictions/wishes come true. Who would have thought that not competing for 2 months before the Worlds wouldn't lead to the desired results.

At least now we will get another season from Johaug. And if she is serious, a full season. If not, 3-4 races in December and then dropping in Cortina like she is the only one competing.

Miserable championships for Diggins by the way, damn. She was walking and running around super pumped before the 50k, then was dropped immediately and had no chance to ever get anywhere near a decent result. Kept going, dropped back further and made a bit of a show to thank people at the finish, but simply collapsed into tears after the finish. Not even anywhere near the individual medals in the entirety of Trondheim 2025.

Awesome to see :TPE Sophia Velicer finish today and avoid being lapped, my throat is still sore from yelling "Let's go Sophia!" at the top of my lungs every single time she passed by :d

Maybe they should have kept it at 30 km. And not changed the other disciplines.

btw I also think it was a bad idea to make the mens distansen shorter.

yes the women needed a longer skiathlon and definately  longer relay legs but those distances are to shorts for the men. Not with individual starts but it is just to difficult ti make differences in the men's mass starts.

Kläbo won the longest race so probably he would have had 6 golds anyway but it is also clear that he is the skiier with most benefit from these changes.

Coincidentally today I overheard Kevin Bolger talk with someone about it, they were all pretty disappointed at seeing the tiny start list today and felt they should speak with the athletes about whether or not they actually wanted a 50k.

I also heard him talk about the insane noise around the track yesterday, he said it felt like his ears were popping constantly and that Maja Dahlqvist's first words to him this morning were "I'm scared" :d

Maja Said she cried during the race after she heard who won, when she still had some kilometers remaining😄

    • Assuming Venezuela loses and gives up 4+ runs, Canada just needs PR to lose and give up 9 or more runs in a 9 inning or less game. I hadn't realized one of their games went to 10 innings before. I think it's possible, but we'll have to wait and see.
