Yeah, atmosphere at Granåsen has been absolutely amazing since day 1.

They have done a truly terrible job with the snow conditions (Oberstdorf 2021 had tougher conditions but they managed to keep the tracks relatively good for the race days, where in Trondheim it was godawful), but the atmosphere is the one thing that was really through the roof, goosebumps left and right :d

.

Klaebo does the impossible damn :hatoff: But from a purely sporting perspective, the biggest injustice in the past years was that they robbed us of a legendary Klaebo - Bolshunov rivalry

Only 35 women in tomorrow's 50k

Including both Hungarian women, who very much have assured themselves of an Olympic spot for both, and with this amount of participants might even have a 3rd ticket on the way for someone.

Maybe they should have kept it at 30 km. And not changed the other disciplines.

btw I also think it was a bad idea to make the mens distansen shorter.

yes the women needed a longer skiathlon and definately  longer relay legs but those distances are to shorts for the men. Not with individual starts but it is just to difficult ti make differences in the men's mass starts.

Kläbo won the longest race so probably he would have had 6 golds anyway but it is also clear that he is the skiier with most benefit from these changes.

Still think the 50km should be Individual Start at the Worlds.  Yes to mass start at the Olympics, but at the Worlds you need to find the single toughest skier.

    • Assuming Venezuela loses and gives up 4+ runs, Canada just needs PR to lose and give up 9 or more runs in a 9 inning or less game. I hadn't realized one of their games went to 10 innings before. I think it's possible, but we'll have to wait and see.
