Kind of did that to himself to be fair...he was clearly injured with 1,5-2 laps to go, but kept going. Respectable, absolutely, but also very dangerous in terms of injuries.

Paraguay still manages to be decent in some sports like handball and golf, so they're not a total disaster.

 

Now Bolivia... They must be the worst in South America in all Olympic sports. I can't say how much Bolivia's poverty is the reason for this; it's probably quite a bit, but they don't seem to have a sports culture. I've watched several athletes from smaller nations and thought, "If only this country had more investment..." That thought never occurred to me with Bolivia.
