December is probably going to be focused on either Italy/Austria or Norway, but the plans are still being made as we speak. Renting a car, driving from the Netherlands down to Italy, finding accomodations and help with preparing the skis and all that...trying to make it as an independent 'solo' athlete is...hard :p

I can't go and help out, because we got the keys to our house (finally) and there's lots of work to be done there, so it's all happening at the same time and the mind is getting crazy (for both of us) :hairpull:

Good luck then! Keep us updated please!!!

And see you in 2026 olympics!!! :cheer:

Honestly Ruka is my favourite World Cup event of the whole season. Everybody is there. Later on there is always someone who skips one weekend or another . Not everybody takes part in Tour de ski. But here everyone shows up.

Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week :p

Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything :cheer:

Excited as always :p

My main thought was "alright, only 18 countries in the women's race and apparently no wildcards for anyone, that's decent news" :p

Good comeback for Johaug but destroyed by 46 seconds by Karlsson!

Interesting remark by the :GBR Comms - apparently FIS have restructured their definitions of Cross Country wins, to reduce the impact of all those semi-wins in stage races with a start advantage, so Johaug is now put on 82 wins.   Obviously prompted by Shiffrin on 99....

    • Assuming Venezuela loses and gives up 4+ runs, Canada just needs PR to lose and give up 9 or more runs in a 9 inning or less game. I hadn't realized one of their games went to 10 innings before. I think it's possible, but we'll have to wait and see.
