yes, at least in Continental Europe they already announced every event will be live and ondemand (this time we're going to have also the Luge and Ski Jumping official training runs/jumps, together with the usual M & W Downhill in Alpine Skiing) unfortunately (or luckily ), there will not be any live coverage of my personal Olympic Opener on Feb. 5th, when, instead of enjoying some Curling/Hockey/Skiing, I will be on the dentist's chair to have the extraction of a molar -

Here's what I have imagined thus far. Feel free to offer suggestions (perhaps if there were features in previous editions). 1) Attached is a list of events, and a spot to put in the IOC code for who you think will win Gold, Silver, or Bronze. 2) Fill it out and post in the appropriate place before the first events on Day -2. 3) I have formulas that can calculate who got the most podium places exactly correct (that is, you thought Austria would win Gold, and they won Gold...I would award you two points), and who guessed best who would be on the podium in general (that is, you thought Austria would get Gold but in reality it was Austria with Silver...I would award you one point). 4) I could share results at the end, seeing who guessed the most medals exactly correct, and who guessed the best podiums regardless of placement. (Because all the calculations are done automatically, it will take no time to calculate at the end.) If this is good, I can make a different thread to be more visible. medalpredictions.xlsx -

last Olympics the Alpine quotas kept changing, even after the Olympics started. I assume that was due in part to Covid issues and the late allotment of extra quotas while the legitimacy of some competitions were being investigated. Even 2018 the FIS continued to keep the options open, that may have been influenced by many russian qualifiers who were not cleared to compete for OAR. I believe that the FIS will continue to fill vacancies if there are unforeseen withdrawals. They do list January 26 as the deadline for entries so I assume that would be it. Unless some athletes can be registered as alternates, then they would still be possible to fill quotas I suppose. -
If Sabrina won't compete, who could take the Kenya's spot?

I personally don't really like watch water polo so much... I think the referees have a huge influence on the final result- probably even greater than in handball. Besides, they're constantly making some radical changes- the last one in early 2025. It doesn't seem serious. Sometimes changes are necessary over the years, but nothing radical. -

I have just finished with an Excel spreadsheet that I think will work for this. I will share more in just a little bit once I work out some tweaks.
