:CZE defeated :TUR 3-1.

However, the third set ended 25-4 in favor of Türkiye. :yikes:

Is that a record at VNL/World League level? :mumble:

Gotta be right?

Probably. I remember Algeria breaking some records in the 2015 World Cup (including a 2-25 set against the USA). But there was a huge disparity between the teams, unlike in the Nations League.

Didn’t realize :USA brought their A-squad to Arlington, yeah we’re cooked :p

Edit: Never mind, they’re not playing them. Still though…

I think we need to win 2 set against :USA or :THA to guarantee to avoid getting relegated. If not then we need to hope :FRA beats :KOR

Though even if we fail completely we should still return via World Rankings, as it is doubtful Ukraine/Argentina will surpass us.

:CAN won two sets against :USA *and* :FRA beat :KOR. So I think :CAN is safe from relegation.

Wait, theoretically if Canada were to be last, you are meaning you would return via the rankings in 2027 right? Not next year, because that would be utterly stupid from FIVB if that is the rule.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
