I read somewhere that it's because women's teams hardly ever play, so it's an opportunity for the already qualified teams to play friendlies against teams from outside the continent. It was probably just a theory. How much sense does that make? I don't know... -

I really dont understand why the FIBA did that.. just dont count the champions for the QT. No reason to have the already qualified teams hog up the space -

One thing that i cant understand is why the teams which already have qualified they are also taking part. Their results can impact other teams classification
