Ludacris event, you are leading and doing everything correct and then someone just blocks you and you can't go anywhere, which leads the others to just pass you, without you doing anything wrong.

Yeah just a dumb event but sadly it will appeal to the masses more than a skillful event.

I really wish one of these athletes had a Totallympics profile and could join the discussion from an athletes' view :p

Honestly I'm more annoyed that the sport is called canoe slalom while four out of six Olympic events are in a kayak.

If this isn't wild, I don't know what is :d

I don’t see anything wild about it, it’s incredibly tame :d

If you could throw your opponent out of their boat then maybe it would be more wild. It needs to be more way more physical if anything. It’s very tame and just sort of happens.

All the bumping and fighting and pushing and rolling and everything :d

Gotta have a real tough mindset and physique to stay ahead.

Does anybody know why Lilik got a foul on Gate 2? She clearly put the pole around her head. Did she use her paddle/hands too much or what was the problem?

You know, it could actually work, if it's a forward only race through gates, like an alpine slalom.

But it's absolutely moronic to have a turnaround gate, where the boat behind you can just block and push you aside and you miss the gate and lose position etc.  :GBR Woods should definitely feel screwed.

Exactly for this. You are not allowed to move the gate with your arm, you can with paddle, with your boat, with your head, with your nose ...etc.. etc.. etc... but the only thing you can not is hold it and move it with your hand
