Dude :d

The only way this relay should be allowed to stay is if the 20k is discontinued and replaced with the 50k. Now that would be awesome, since race walking is a sport for long distances and 20k is too short...

50km didn't have half the entertainment this relay offers AND I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL.

Also, the level in 50km was mediocre at best... :ESP Marc Tur almost being an olympic medallist in Tokio20 was a joke lmao

No I agree, the entertainment in the first 5km of the 50km was mediocre, it was only entertaining in the last 45km with tons of position changes and comebacks and attacks and everything :p

Also: nothing personal of course, so I genuinely hope you won't actually die on any hill :d

I was afraid :ITA athletes peaked one month too early this year. Definitely not the same shape as it was in Roma

Stano suffered a bad injury by slipping on a bottle during the race, Palmisano clearly had serious health problems. Unfortunately we were unlucky, the luck of 2021 was given to us with interest :(

Stano was injured in the race walk world team championships and because of that Italy only had one spot (thanks to Fortunato and the other lady, but sadly they were not allowed to use their spot and the clearly not entirely fit Stano was chosen :().

Not the best run from :POL Skrzyszowska but she finished 3rd and makes SF.

Big crash for :AUS Jenneke but she finished and will be in repechages.

    • It's hard to believe it was still in this calendar year
    • In last year, we were were happy with Brignone's wins, and today we're excite that della Mea is in the top 10... It's hard to imagine a bigger fall... And Goggia should give up on the giant slalom and focus on the speed events – Vonn isn't wasting time on the giant slalom, but is training for downhill and SG. Goggia last one finished on the podium in the giant slalom in march 2018, and she has no any chance of winning an Olympic medal at the regular competition. It's a waste of time and energy to finish 8th or 9th and risk injury. And we have to accept that without Brignone, we have no chance of winning a medal in the giant slalom in Cortina, and that's it.
    • yeah, just like Anna Trocker earlier Today   I think this is the best way to blow them    they're not ready for the world cup stage yet, but we're so bad right now that our coaches are digging deep
    • Some surprises and fun results so far at this year's Worlds. Like a few minutes ago, when  Harrysson made the 1/8 with another very good performance. Now he plays Jonny Clayton, who this afternoon made a stellar performance in a tough battle with Zonneveld. I don't see an easy match for Clayton, even though on paper he would have wished such an opponent for a 1/8 before the tournament.   Also i'm delighted that my fav Gary Anderson seems to be in good form, though at his age, he is prone to sudden bad matches at any time.
