But for sure Azerbaijan, Bahrain and Qatar are the kings in buying athletes (if we define buying athletes as athletes who have zero connection with the country)

I thought  was a mistake when I first saw the teams on Wikipedia. Well, imports makes sense. The Mighty Azerbaijan 3×3 Basketball Team, first Azeri team to qualify for Olympics in a team sport perhaps.
