Taaekwondo Canada didn’t select their three best athletes, so I can’t say I’m expecting anything here. Hoping for at least one semifinal.

Well probably our three best athletes in the Olympic Ranking… so that’s Nicholas Hoefling in men’s -58kg, Marc-Andre Bergeron in men’s +80kg, and most importantly Ashley Kraayeveld in women’s -67kg. I don’t care if Kraayeveld didn’t win her weightclass at Trials, I would still select her regardless. She’s the clear #2 Pan American athlete in her weightclass, about 90 points ahead of the Chilean athlete in #3.

 

But maybe that’s just me
