This 10-9 scoring system is absolutely useless at the 3-round distance. And of course so many sports implemented system where scores of such "judges" are to be discarded when removing the highest and the lowest marks. Federer91 2,206 Posted March 8 #359 Share Posted March 8 Adding one more to the list of controversies. At W66 kg today Joana Nwamerue lost to Yuliannys Álvarez with a referee stoppage. And the reason for the stoppage was the issue. At the end of round 1, Joana was winning comfortably 5:0, when Alvarez unsportsmanlike twisted Joana's arm, while in a clinch. She fell down with a potential injury and the referee decided to end the match with an Alvarez win, even though Joana wanted to continue... Haven't seen the Kob - Chukanova match, so don't know what went down there, but i wouldn't be surprised, if they gave us a favour. Josh
Federer91 2,206 Posted March 8 #360 Share Posted March 8 Also, it looks like Netherlands have more or less 2 boxers here and we managed to lose to both of them Not happy at all with our performance. They went for 3-4 quotas, but if we get 1 in the end, it will be a feat.
