interesting situation...

:FRA have overtaken :CHN in the top 4 of the OQR, which means that :POL earn the current status of best European team outside the direct qualifying places, meanwhile :CHN still have the Asian spot, but :HKG are pushing a few points behind and even :KOR are not completely out of contention, despite Today's bad result.

the current top 3 of the OQR (:JPN:ITA:USA) and the continental spots for Africa (:EGY) and Americas (:CAN) look safe.

Actually, only maths leave the door open for them to be upset, but it's almost impossible that anything's gonna happen to them.

The only truly open fights are those concerning the last direct OQR spot and the Asian rumble.

:POL instead can only hope that both :ITA and :FRA keep going and end up in the top 4 of the OQR, that's the only way for them to qualify.

Polish women's foil team lost 44:45 with U.S

It could cost us OG.

naaa...also :GER lost in the Quarterfinals, so you still have a chance to play for more points than them

and in any case, you're still close enough...it's gonna be a close battle until the last hit of the last tournament

nothing's gonna be decided earlier, surely not Today

so, basically nothing changed in the women's Team Foil

actually, the current situation has been consolidated after Today's event

we have 3 teams (:ITA:USA:FRA) that only need mathematical confirmation of their quota place, meanwhile :JPN is safe in 4th place at the moment, but not completely out of reach from :CAN

still, they have a comfortable lead over :CHN, who would be the team in danger should the North Americans sneak in into the Top 4

but since the Americas don't have a 3rd team in the top 16 of the ranking, they would still be in perfect place to earn a repechage spot

so, we can say that the first 6 teams of the ranking are reasonably in place to qualify, leaving only 2 open battles: :GER vs :POL (and maybe :HUN, but they need more than a miracle) for the European spot and :EGY trying to save their place in the top 16 to earn the African spot (should :SGP earn another top 10 finish, there's a high risk for :EGY to drop to 17th and lose their qualifying position).

    • Alpine skiing also we have a lot of problems: the men's team is very weak and has been winning a few podiums a season for several years and the our best skier- Dominik Paris is 35. We still have a strong women's team but 3 of the 4 leaders are over 30 (Goggia, Brignone, Curtoni) and Bassino is 28. Another 2 years and we will have the same problem as the men's. There is basically no cross-country skiing without Pellegrino for many years, biathlon is based on 2 individuals with one of them has a 35 years. Vittozzi's injury was enough and we haven`t a single podium this season after 3 stages of the World Cup. As for 1 year to the home games the situation isn`t optimistic.
    • Hail to the Reds... Commanders. First time since 1991 Washington QB has thrown 5 TD passes in a game (which isn't all that improbable in the modern game alas Dan Snyder...)
    • Italy is much better in alpine skiing, in The end all Nations have a Limited Talent Pool. Norway is far better than Sweden/Finland in Cross-Country skiing, alpine skiing and Biathlon, but Sweden/Finland are far better in ice Hockey.  Great Britain wins far more medals than Germany At Summer olympics, but GB is also inexistant in Winter Sports and Most popular Team Sports (Volleyball, Handball, Basketball, Ich Hockey).

On The Mens side multiple Athletes (Perrot, Giacomel, Uldal) have already done it.   E.
