Where are Akio, Barros and Luizinho?

Akio and Barros are already in the quarterfinals (Top 5 in the ranking). Luizinho did not qualify in the first round. :(

I am so sad about Luizinho's performance. He couldn't compete in the first events because of his injury. And now, can't qualify.

He is going to miss the Olympics... fortunately we have a plenty of good names that can get medal, but for him it might be very painful :(

Why is Sky Brown not competing? She can still qualify for the Olympics though?

Fractured lower leg, I think. She has a humongous ranking points score, so even if she loses all her World Champ points, she may be alright

Edit : if you look at the points on offer for a World Champs, and then look at the lead Sky has, it seems clear she's very safe for the time being - healing up is much more important. Only 5 skaters can overtake here at these worlds, and all five cannot do it at the same time, as there's at least three would need to win outright to edge ahead

In difficult times, professional politicians should rule, not celebrities like Trump or Zelensky. Macron is probably the one I like the most out of this group in Europe/Atlantic World right now, while Obama and even Bush Jr. were statesmen compared to Trump.

    • few observations on the first major tournament:   live score board (on screen) needs some improvements such as: the fencing piste colours are consistently wrong between the scoreboard and real game (the red and green colours) shooting screen in combined phase is very bad, time is stuck or continue even when the player finished, also the green (good shot dots) are not always working at the beginning I didn't like the score board on the left hand side but later I got used to it which is not bad in my opinion now. showing the the round in fencing will be beneficial to understand is it QF, R 16 ..etc and expect the score accordingly the fencing screen in the left hand side is confusing  (location of the score compared to name is not very clear) and it's more confusing when you notice that the colour is wrongly switched (see first point) Obstacles is fun to watch (I wasn't expecting that) and young athletes are taking it to very high leve,. also surprised with some good actions from experienced athletes such as Belaud, Shabaan & Gulyas.   Equestrian was not fair but more thrilling, here Obstacles is more fair and not boring. Personally, I liked Equestrian more but I can understand why obstacles is more favourable for some others.   new scoring of fencing is better, even difference in points was adjusted to become more close to swimming weight (main deciders now are obstacles and combined).   waiting Fencing World Ranking list to know how does it work and how they calculate this new ranking.
